Project Description
The pCAM hub will be the first facility of its kind in Australia and will focus on the production of battery cathode active materials (nickel, manganese and cobalt) – an important precursor product for advanced electric vehicle (EV) battery materials production.
The hub will be established in Kalgoorlie and will initially produce 50 000 t/y of pCAM a year – enough to produce up to one-million lithium-ion EV batteries.

About 380 construction jobs and 175 initial permanent jobs are expected to be created.
