Name of the Project
Pilbara bulk ore transport system (BOTS) project.

Location
The proposed BOTS will originate in Iron Valley, in the Pilbara, in Western Australia, and extend in a north-north-west direction to the Port Hedland port precinct.

Client
Mineral Resources Limited (MRL).

Project Description
The BOTS project proposes to develop an elevated, autonomous logistics solution, designed to deliver iron-ore mined from the Iron Valley mine site to the Port Hedland inner harbour for export.

This system proposes to replace the road haulage transport solution currently in operation.

The BOTS will use purpose-designed power cars and wagons, fuelled by diesel and gas, to transport the ore over 330 km.

A Perth-based control centre will autonomously monitor the system.
