Project Description
The project will replace the original stackers – large pieces of machinery used to evenly distribute ore into stockpiles – at the Paraburdoo mine.

The old stackers were part of the mine’s original infrastructure, stacking the very first load of iron-ore from Paraburdoo in 1972.

The project will create about 100 jobs.

The project involves an investment of about $39-million.

Duration
Installation and commissioning completed by 2020.

Latest Developments
The design of the new stackers is under way and fabrication is expected to begin later this year.

Key Contracts and Suppliers
Tenova TAKRAF (design and implementation phases) and Paradigm Engineers (electrical engineering design and control system programming services, as well as the supply of electrical equipment).
