Company Announcement - Orion Hotels and Resorts, after a very tenuous period at Selborne Hotel Golf Estate and Spa, have strategically decided to terminate their relationship with this property. Chief Executive Officer for Orion Hotels and Resorts Franz Gmeiner said that the constant in-fighting among home owners and club members, together with the very depressed South Coast market, made the situation very difficult on the Selborne Estate.

“We wish home owners and future managers of the hotel all the very best.  In saying this, we are very proud to announce our recent acquisition of The Venue Country Hotel. This establishment fits perfectly into our portfolio and we are excited to introduce this lovely property into the leisure, conference and business market,” said Franz. The latest acquisition, formerly known as the Magaliesberg Conference Centre, is located just 10 kilometres past the Lanseria International Airport, towards Hartebeespoort. Now known as The Venue Country Hotel, the establishment has been fully refurbished to meet the Orion Hotels and Resorts standards. The Venue Country Hotel is equipped with conferencing facilities, an auditorium as well as seven conference rooms-perfect for motivational talks, lecturing, training and team building.

The Venue Country Hotel offers guests easy access to Johannesburg, Hartebeespoort as well as the many internationally renowned attractions the Magaliesberg area has to offer. For more information, please visit www.orionhotels.co.za
