Orelogy and DRA: A Unique Australian/African Partnership for Australian Companies with African projects.

Perth based specialist mine planning consultancy Orelogy has entered into a partnership agreement with South African and Perth based project management and engineering house DRA. The arrangement is set to enhance both companies’ service offering and market share in the Australasian mining industry.
This partnership agreement brings DRA’s extensive knowledge of the African mining market as well as its diverse service offering together with Orelogy’s project optimisation expertise, specialist software and client base in Australia. Neale Goddard, Managing Director of DRA’s Mining division says “There are over 400 projects in the African Market that are owned by Australian based mining companies. DRA is an expert in delivering African projects but we don’t have strong relationships with the Australian market. Orelogy brings this to the table with their impressive reputation and client base in Perth”. Orelogy Managing Director Steve Craig says “I’m very excited about the partnership that we have entered into with DRA. DRA’s critical mass and African experience gives us the opportunity to further break through into the African market and provide an enhanced service to a larger client base” Craig is aware that clients are looking for a complete service offering and says this partnership will offer Australian clients a unique value proposition over the entire project life cycle.
This is further evidence of DRA’s commitment to its global growth strategy after the acquisition of Taggart Global in the United States and MOU agreement with Afrasia in Turkey. Clive Hart, DRA Australasia’s CEO, stated that “Africa is DRA’s strength but the clients who have African projects are based all over the world. We need to give our clients ease of access to a project house that can implement these projects in Africa”. DRA is a leading multi-disciplinary engineering, project management and contract operations company specialising in mining, infrastructure, materials handling and mineral process plant design and construction as well as contract operations and maintenance. DRA has constructed mineral mines, process plants and related infrastructure on five continents and has offices in major mining centres worldwide. For more information on DRA visit www.draglobal.com
