Advisory firm OIM Consulting is branching out to Australia to take advantage of opportunities in its $28-billion mining industry.

The company is adapting its proven methodologies to meet the unique needs and challenges of the Australian mining sector.

OIM also recently repositioned itself with a new strategy of “refining lives, releasing value” as it continues capacitating mine supervisors and front-line leaders to meet their targets and enable growth in the organisation.

OIM MD Arjen de Bruin will head up the Australian business, while former principal consultant and director Ben Nel will assume the position of MD of the South African operations.

De Bruin will continue to oversee the South African sales and marketing activities, while championing the company’s expansion into new mining markets beyond South Africa.

He comments that OIM has played a role in shaping the South African mining industry in having helped clients increase operational efficiency, improve organisational cultures and upskill employees.

“We look forward to taking this approach into new territories and enabling other markets to benefit from our proven, results-driven programme that starts with people,” De Bruin concludes.
