Project Description
The project has mineral resources totalling 813-million tonnes – 272-million tonnes in the measured category, 334-million tonnes in the indicated category and 207-million tonnes in the inferred category. 

Reserves have been estimated at 700-million run-of-mine tonnes.

The project entails the construction of a large-scale, greenfield metallurgical coal mine, with a yield of up to 14-million tonnes of coking coal a year for steel production.

The project includes:
• an opencut coal mine,
• a coal handling and preparation plant,
• an 18 km rail spur and on-site rail loop,
• a raw-water pipeline connecting to the Eungella pipeline network,
• private access roads, and
• an electricity transmission line.

The mine is expected to operate for more than 30 years.

Jobs to Be Created
The project is expected to create 500 to 700 construction jobs and 960 operational jobs.
