Mineral processing facilities and associated infrastructure evaluation, engineering design, project management and construction specialist Obsideo Consulting has recently expanded its business into Africa, where it has done several mineral processing studies and is constructing a rare-earth minerals concentrating plant in Burundi.

The company covers the entire project life cycle from conceptual and feasibility studies to detailed design, construction and commissioning of processing facilities and infrastructure, as well as provides subsequent operational support.

“We offer experience in mining production modelling and design for both opencast and underground operations. Our project execution strategy is tailored to each project and includes engineering, procurement and construction management; engineering, procurement and construction; and partnership and turnkey contracting solutions.

Obsideo Consulting has expanded its focus over the years from solely supplying consulting services to the minerals and metallurgical industries to include the supply of packaged solutions.

“Our resume includes the design, implementation and commissioning of a complete new mineral sands mine with its processing plant and infrastructure facilities. Our target market includes junior miners and the design and implementation of tailings retreatment facilities for various commodities.”
