Company Announcement - The ongoing maintenance of buildings is time-consuming and a hassle for most property managers, owners and facilities managers. For this reason, Bidvest Facilities Management, one of the largest Facilities Management solutions companies, has expanded its end-to-end integrated Facilities Management services to offer Mobile Maintenance to the broader market. The success of any business relies heavily on its smooth operation, which is in part contributed to well-maintained premises. “It’s important that businesses place building maintenance as a priority and ensure that it’s done regularly in order to avoid incurring hefty costs at a later stage.

“Ideally maintenance issues should remain ‘invisible’ and be dealt with quickly and efficiently with the least disturbance to daily operations. To meet these needs, we’ve introduced our Mobile Maintenance service, which offers companies one flexible, consolidated and customised contract to deal with all maintenance issues. This means that property owners and companies can focus on the daily running of their business while we take care of all maintenance tasks,” says Derek Jack, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer  at Bidvest Facilities Management.

The range of Mobile Maintenance services include corrective and planned maintenance with end-to-end management of electrical, mechanical and general building support services by multi-skilled staff.

Corrective maintenance services for general buildings include minor electrical, air conditioning and plumbing maintenance, replacement of globes or lamp, furniture repair and hanging of pictures and white boards among others. Proactive maintenance on a scheduled basis is equally important as general repairs, and can be scheduled to prevent unexpected failure, which could effect the smooth running of a business.

“Depending on the size of a business, it’s very important to strategically plan maintenance bearing in mind how many jobs need to be done. The service is offiered on a project basis with flexible contracts structured according to a company’s requirements. The scale of involvement can be upsized, downsized and adapted,” sasy Jack.

Planned maintenance also includes health and safety compliance checks for buildings, towers, streetlights, mobile infrastructure such as containers, as well as standby power systems and major plant equipment.  “With our Mobile Maintenance service, our teams can be scheduled on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis according to a customer’s needs, with the back-up of a 24/7 365 days per year call centre,” concludes Jack.
