Jumo exTherm-AT  (0.05 MB)

The new Jumo exTherm-AT surface mount thermostat can be used in all environments with a potentially explosive atmosphere where temperature control and monitoring are required. Application examples include the areas surrounding pipe tracing systems where the primary concern is for monitoring the maximum pipe temperature and for distillation plants where thermal processes are controlled. It can also be used in the production of food and pharmaceutical products.

The thermostat is robust with an approved operating temperature as low as -55 ºC and offers flexibility with a wide range of options for equipment and combinations. The devices ATEX approval applies to Zones 1 and 2 (potentially explosive gas atmosphere) or to Zones 21 and 22 (potentially explosive dust atmosphere). Zone separation between Zones 0 and 1 is possible with special thermowells, available in different insertion lengths. As standard, the pressure resistant thermostat is mounted in an IP65 case made of polyester and is also available in aluminum or stainless steel.

Whether the requirement is for use as a single or double thermostat, a version that has a rigid shaft with the sleeves permanently connected to the device, or a type with a capillary up to 5 000mm in length, there’s a design option available of the ex-Therm-AT to suit the application. The maximum approved ambient temperatures when in use are +40 ºC in class T6 and +70 ºC in class T4. The device allows a switching capacity of 25 A at 230 V. Tested with 250 000 switching cycles the Jumo ex-Therm-AT offers many years of reliable service. Jumo is exclusive to Randburg-based instrumentation company, ASSTech.
