NetComposites will once again be a key innovation and headline media partner to the Composites Engineering show, part of the Advanced Engineering Exhibition which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, UK, on the 2nd and 3rd November.
 
NetComposites has worked with the show organisers to expand the recently run ‘Ask the Expert’, with 2016 seeing the first edition of the Advanced Engineering ‘Knowledge Hub’. Drawing on its industry, market and materials knowledge, NetComposites will be on hand to help with any composites-related questions and enquiries from the show’s central Knowledge Hub.
 
NetComposites will present an Innovation Showcase which can be found in the Composites Feature section, highlighting some of its recent novel material developments; bespoke high performance carbon fibre reinforced thermoplastic tapes suitable for automatic tape placement or tape winding, a fire-resistant biocomposite rail vehicle panel and a high performance unidirectional flax fibre tape.
 
This year, NetComposites will host 4 of the open forums focusing on thermoplastics, nanocomposites, composites in sport and composites in construction. With a series of fantastic speakers representing the global composites supply chain, the forums are a must-attend feature of the show.
 
Following last year’s success, NetComposites will once again host its one hour introductory training module as part of the forum offering. ‘What is a Composite Material?’ provides a general overview of composite materials and how they work. It is suitable for anyone who is unfamiliar with composites and who is looking for a gentle introduction. A great taster of the training on offer at NetComposites for those wanting classroom, online or bespoke training to improve the knowledge of new or existing staff.
