PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Mineral sands developer MZI Resources has singed a port services agreement with the Bunbury Port Authority, giving the company sufficient capacity to export mineral sands product from its Keysbrook project in Western Australia.

The ASX-listed MZI said on Monday that the agreement covered all mineral sands produced from Keysbrook, covering both leucoxene and zircon export, over a period of seven years.

The Keysbrook project was expected to produce some 91 000 t/y of mineral sands products, with operations set to start in 2014.

MZI has an offtake agreement with DuPont Titanium Technologies for all the leucoxene titanium dioxide produced at the Keysbrook project, over an initial five-year period.
