Project description
The Munali concentrator is to be upgraded from its current nameplate capacity of 900 000 t/y to 1,2-million tons a year. The work involved will include upgrades to the flotation capacity, blowers for the flotation cells, the mill feed system and modifications to the milling circuit.

The increase in the milling capacity will result in a 20% increase in the annual production from the project to between 10 000 t and 10 500 t of nickel in concentrate.

Work is to start immediately.

It is expected that the milling capacity will reach a rate of 1,2-million tons a year by January 2009.
