Project Description
The project involves the mining of two adjacent gold/silver deposits – the Centennial and Seligman deposits – using openpit mining methods and recovering gold by conventional heap-leach processing, producing 8 500 t/d of gold over an eight-year mine life.

The project’s reserves are contained within a well-defined orebody, displaying excellent continuity of mineralisation that will be mined within a single openpit. Processing will be clear-cut, with two-stage crushing, no agglomeration and rapid gold-leach rates, followed by conventional adsorption-desorption-recovery metal extraction.

The project also incorporates several innovative design concepts to minimise surface disturbance and environmental impacts, such as a vertical ore pass and an underground conveying system to reduce surface disturbance and improve air quality.
