Mpama South has indicated mineral resources of 830 000 t grading 2.58% tin for 21 520 t of tin, and inferred resources of 1.95-million tonnes grading 2.52% tin for 49 120 t of tin.

A preliminary economic assessment completed on the project in March 2022 estimates contained tin production at 7 232 t/y.

Total run-of-mine (RoM) ore processed is estimated at 2.07-million tonnes, with average annualised RoM mined and processed estimated at 468 000 t grading 2.21% tin.

Development infrastructure will be consolidated with that of the Mpama North mine.

Latest Developments
Alphamin Resources Corporation has announced positive drill results from the Mpama South prospect.

Notable high-grade assay results returned on the prospect include 22.7 m, grading 3.12% tin from 391 m; 16 m, grading 2.89% tin from 297 m; and 12.5 m, grading 2.48% tin from 387 m.

Alphamin has said that mineralisation at Mpama South remains open in multiple directions and management is confident of the project’s ongoing growth prospects.
