PERTH (miningweekly.com) – The Administrators of ASX-listed Moreton Resources are seeking expressions of interest (EoI) for both the company and its assets.

Moreton entered into voluntary administration in early June, tasking administrators to undertake an urgent assessment of the group's business and financial position to determine the future of the company and its assets.

The administrators have now started the process to sell or recapitalize the group and are seeking urgent EoIs. Non-binding indicative offers for the recapitalision of the group and its assets are requested by June 29, and qualified parties will be shortlisted.

Moreton holds a number of subsidiaries with assets across Australia, including base metal projects in Queensland, and a number of coal assets in the Bowen, Surat and Tarong basins.
