An application for smart devices notifies users, based on their capabilities, of work opportunities from known projects in their geographical area, enabling the companies to increase the amount of work they do, says business opportunities company Leads 2 Business CEO and founder Victor Terblanche.

The Leads 2 Go mobile application is available to the company’s subscribers and provides information on construction projects and tender opportunities, he says.

“Users can identify opportunities within a 100 km radius of their location. The efficiency and accuracy of critical activities sent over the application, such as site inspections and closing dates, are improved by the speed and consistency of the data sent to the mobile device.”

It is possible to overload users with infor- mation using push notification on mobile services. This is why the advisory filters, governed by a wizard, enables easy refine- ment of the push notification service according to company preferences.

The service is aimed at the construction industry and at mining and industrial developments. However, there are many associated sectors that benefit from these construction leads, including the information and communication, facilities management and security sectors, besides others.

“We have always focused solely on the construction industry as a niche market, despite a demand to venture elsewhere. We believe this principle has earned us the reputation of being a reputable and reliable source of information of potential business leads,” he says.

The application uses the global positioning system capabilities of the smart devices to identify the area in which subscribers operate, but users can use a program wizard to select criteria for the information that is sent to them, including a wider geographical area.

However, most tenders follow budgetary allocations in regional developments, which means that geographic area is a key factor, especially when other filters, including trade value and development stage, are taken into account.

The application is available for all smart devices, including phones and tablets, and functions with software giant Microsoft, search engine giant Google Android and device giant Apple iOS operating systems, and can also be deployed as a Live Tile on Windows 8 desktop operating systems.

“The technology improves users’ spread and response time to work opportunities, resulting in a healthier order book,” concludes Terblanche.
