Illegal mining in South Africa continues to debilitate the mining industry presenting an array of challenges. Mine operators find themselves scrambling for answers on a daily basis in maintaining all facets of mine security. On 28 & 29 June, Pinpoint Stewards will be hosting the Global Mine Security seminar. This online platform will see stakeholders both local and international deliberate and share their unique perspectives in moving towards better security conditions in the mining sector.
It is imperative to note that the war against security threats has been waged and it will take a collective approach in fighting this plague. Presentations and case studies will be delivered by stakeholders from, Harmony Gold, Sibanye – Stillwater, World Gold Council, International Platinum Group Metals Association and Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DCPI).
Ankia Roux, Director, Pinpoint Stewards says, “this objective platform was created to bring security forces and stakeholders together to ensure mining houses and their teams form part of the seminar and as a unit fight the crimes against mining houses and protect the economy as a whole”
The Mine Security Global Seminar is an online event to ensure security teams can join, while still being functional at the mine. The more voices joining this dialogue, will result in a more robust and significant approach being adopted on a quarterly basis.
Pinpoint Stewards owners have experience in training and conferencing for over 20 years and is 100% women owned and Level 2 B-BBEE company. Be part of this imperative dialogue! Contact us today to register, sponsor or exhibit: info@pinpointstewards.co.za
