Ventilation, refrigeration and cooling specialist BBE Consulting celebrated 25 years in mine ventilation and refrigeration during an event that took place in Johannesburg, Gauteng, earlier this month.

“We have an enviable record of consulting behind us, which has been made possible by the contribution of our loyal staff and the support of our clients, for which we thank them. We look forward to another 25 years of delivering exceptional and innovative professional services,” said BBE Group CEO Steven Bluhm at the event.

He noted that the company delivered complete turnkey projects and had to date completed projects worth more than R1-billion across the African continent.

“BBE Group has many clients worldwide and is familiar with international legislation and designs according to the relevant health and safety standards stipulated by a particular country.”

Bluhm added that, in response to client demand, BBE also established various business units over the past few years, which offered professional services beyond system designs and equipment specifications: through these units, BBE offered a full spectrum of services, focusing on mine ventilation, refrigeration, cooling and energy.

“The BBE Group aims to increase its footprint in the international arena and an expansion initiative has led to the opening of an office in Perth, Australia, to serve the greater Asia-Pacific market. In other areas joint ventures have been established, with all the design capabilities supported from the Johannesburg head office,” he noted.

The company’s next satellite office will open in Canada next year.
