MICROMINE will showcase the latest version of Geobank at PDAC 2017!

Leading provider of software solutions and services to the exploration and mining sector, MICROMINE, previewed the latest version of its superior data management solution, Geobank 2017, at the PDAC Convention, 5-8 March 2016, Toronto, Canada.

Dallas Araneda, MICROMINE Canada Regional Manager, explains “MICROMINE is continuing to build its presence throughout the Americas. PDAC is regarded as the largest annual mining event in the region and it provides MICROMINE with the perfect opportunity to showcase its offerings to the North and South American mining communities”. The latest release of Geobank 2017, has been the culmination of our product and development teams hard work over the past couple of years to get new features, improved user experience and client requests completed, this release contains over 300 items including 50 improvements and new features.

Key enhancements and features include; quality improvements, including fixes to graphic report bar chart annotation, connector, legends, search and design sheet display, response speed improved when LAS or general imports are cancelled, slow performance has been addressed in variety of places, issues with column settings and decimal places for exports fixed and fixes to section view alignment in plan view.

Usability with a broad range of usability functionality has been introduced including, data views now support the adding of new rows between existing rows, graphic report logarithmic scales now have versatile display options and alignment or objects in the designed is significantly more intuitive, functionality for Crypkey licence transfer has been added, along with web-based help is now available.

More versatility with whether pattern initialisations are applied in data sets and action-type events are available for Excel imports and advanced reports, improvements in how the visual query builder works with parameters. Micromine 2016 contains a variety of new user benefits and improved, intuitive functionality associated with exploration, capability and performance, and mining. Highlights of our latest version include, Vizex Interactive Rotate Strings tool, the ability to drape an image or grid surface onto a Vizex grid surface and a new 3D PDF output function.

On Micromine 2016, Araneda comments “Micromine provides explorers with an in-depth understanding of a project so prospective regions can be targeted more accurately, increasing the chances of a project’s success. Miners are provided easy-to-use modelling, estimation and design tools to simplify day-to-day design and production tasks”.

MICROMINE’s mining experts also will be available to demonstrate the capabilities of the company’s leading fleet management and mine control solution, Pitram. Pitram manages and processes mine site data in real-time. As a scalable solution, it is suitable for open pit and underground mine construction and production.
