MICROMINE Founder and Director, Graeme Tuder won the Contribution to Mining Award at the Australian Mining Prospect Awards 2016 held at Dultone House in Sydney on Friday evening. Launched in 2004, the Annual Australian Mining Prospect Awards have become the most esteemed and prestigious awards program for the mining and minerals processing industry in Australia.

Mining companies and individuals from across the country came together to celebrate the year’s achievements. With categories ranging from Coal Mine of the Year and Minerals Processing of the Year, to Excellence in Environmental Management and Contribution to Mining, the Prospect Awards aim to encourage, recognise, and reward excellence in Australian mining.

The Contribution to Mining category was sponsored by fellow West Australian Company BGC Contracting, recognising Tuder’s lifetime achievement in the mining industry. Other finalists included Gina Rinehart, Roy Hill, and Todd Fielding from Deloitte Australia.

This year, MICROMINE also celebrates its 30th Anniversary. Claire Tuder, MICROMINE CEO and Director, accepted the award on behalf of Mr. Tuder. Ms. Tuder, daughter of Graeme Tuder appointed to the CEO role in September 2016 commented, “Since its beginning in 1986, Graeme’s vision for the company has been to provide high quality products and services that create value for exploration and mining companies.”

“This is a fantastic recognition of Graeme’s contribution to the industry. Especially in this 30th anniversary year.” MICROMINE would like to congratulate all the finalists and winners for 2016.
