Multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, Med-TechEngineers, was awarded a tender for constructing an automotive hangar at an educational facility in Kempton Park. The facility required an additional workshop for automotive hangars within its campus to accommodate the increase in students at the campus workshop.

Med-TechEngineers managing director Gift Mphefu says that the project scope of work for Med-TechEngineers covered an array of engineering services such as the provision of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, quantity surveying and project management.

“The project's capital cost amounted to R8 million, and construction started in March 2017 and was completed at the end of March 2022. Med-TechEngineers had to endure and overcome many challenges during the project by addressing each hurdle professionally,” adds Mphefu.
