Project Description
A scoping study completed on the Matala project has proved that it could deliver 176 000 oz of gold over a nine-year mine life, using the sublevel long-hole open-stoping mining method.
The Matala deposit host indicated resources of 3.204-million tons, with a grade of 2.7 g/t of gold and inferred resources of 4.525-million tons, with a grade of 2 g/t.

The project has an initial capital expenditure of $48-million.
Duration
The development of the Matala project is expected to start in 2015 when the Dunrobin project has reached full production.
Latest Developments
Additional work to improve the level of project definition is planned for Matala.
The feasibility study will include additional drilling to prove a portion of measured resource, additional testwork, environmental permitting and more definitive mining and processing studies.
