2ND PHOTO COMPETITION “MINERS AND MINES OF RUSSIA 2013″
MINEX Russia 2013 forum organisers continue to accept photo works from the mining professionals for the Miners and Mines of Russia competition, which is a part of 9th MINEX Russia Mining and Exploration Forum 2013. The finalists’ photos will be displayed on the Competition Display panel at the MINEX Expo Hall in Moscow on 2-3 October 2013. The winners will be presented with valuable prizes at the end of the forum on 3 October 2013.
Goals and objectives of the competition
• Presentation of the wealth of Russian mineral resources as seen through the photo cameras of people working in the mining industry in Russia;
• Creating objective image of Russian mining industry for present and future generations of miners;
• Providing an opportunity for mining companies and organisations to participate in a unique social project aimed at promoting mining profession and development of a unique platform where amateur photographers working in mining industry can express themselves;
• Creation of the national Internet-based Photo Club devoted to mining and geological amateur photography in Russia.

• “Caring for the environment” – Industrial landscape or composition
• “Ores and Minerals” – Free genre composition

2ND MICROMINE USERS CONFERENCE
Micromine will be holding alongside MINEX Russia 2013 Forum the annual Micromine users conference on 3 October in Moscow.
Mr Graeme Tuder, Micromine's Managing Director and founder will be traveling to Moscow and greeting Russia’s conference delegates
During the conference, the following issues will be highlighted:
• Demonstration of the latest features of Micromine 2013, scripting system and its possibilities;
• GIS Micromine opportunities and experience for complex ore body shapes computer-based modeling;
• The Integrated use of Geobank and Micromine systems on the Grib Mine diamond deposit;
• Audit of block modeling methods, the traditional method of calculating the ore reserves calculating by a block modeling methods, the design of block model for ore zone;
• Computer based simulation of gold mineralisation to the random distribution associated with a flat-lying system of quartz veinlets in sericite-quartz metasomatic with using probabilistic (frameless) approach in the Micromine software.
The conference will introduce Russian users to the latest features of Micromine’s rang of products and will showcase their implementation at some of the leading mining and exploration companies in Russia, such as NPGF Regis Ltd., Arkhangelskgeoldobycha (AGD), Polyus Gold, Polyus Project LLC, Rusburmash JSC, RussDragMet LLC, PiterGORproject JSC s. The MICROMINE users annual conference is designed for professionals who use, or plan to use MICROMINE software in their work.
SIGNING OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN MICROMINE RUS AND NVIZION GROUP
