Magical Kenya partners with Kenya Airways
Kenya’s destination presence in South Africa is poised to rise following a launch of joint marketing campaigns with the national carrier-Kenya Airways.
The joint advertising campaigns which will be launched on 12th February 2014, will involve engaging the targeted audience through an online consumer campaign and leading tour operators based in South Africa.
The joint campaign is aimed at tourists planning a holiday with their friends or families and it targets to promote the Swahili coast, the unique wild life experience and the wonderful product offering of Kenya. “Kenya Tourism Board and Kenya Airways target similar customers and by combining our strengths and resources we have a unique opportunity to reach our target customers much more efficiently. This partnership will complement the airline’s 10-year fleet and route network expansion plan and take advantage of the on-going expansion and upgrade of local airports. It will be a major boost to the attainment of the country’s economic blueprint, Vision 2030” said Chris Diaz, Marketing Director, Kenya Airways.
According to Ms Jacinta Nzioka Ag. Director of Marketing, of the Kenya Tourism Board South Africa remains one of the key source markets to Kenya.
“As we talk of Africa being our next frontier in tourism, South Africa is among the markets with potential and for this reason we have launched the campaigns as part of other promotional activities to woo the market to Kenya” says Nzioka South Africa remains the second the highest source market for Kenya after Uganda and with over 40,000 tourists last year.
