Industries rely on their large mobile equipment to work around the clock, therefore, their fire protection should do the same, says Alberton-based fire protection specialist Advanced Fire Suppression Technologies (AFST).

The ANSUL LVS liquid agent vehicle fire suppression system and Checkfire detection system   offer superior fire suppression and fully monitored automatic, fire detection and actuation.

The LVS vehicle suppression system, for which AFST is the authorised distributor in Southern Africa, enables rapid flame knockdown, cooling and securement, and is offered in multiple design options. The technology is also FM-approved, CE-marked, UL-listed and AS5062-compliant.

Providing fire suppression and superior cooling of superheated surfaces, the system’s liquid agent runs into hard-to-reach areas along the same path flammable liquids may have flowed, cutting off oxygen to help prevent reflash.

“The LVS wet chemical agent has superior cooling as well as rapid flame knockdown capabilities putting it above other products in the industry,” says AFST.

The LVS system is designed to suppress fires in mobile equipment used by various industries, including mining, forestry, waste management and transportation.

With multiple branches and distribution networks established throughout Africa, AFST has in excess of 350 customers and supports 28 countries on the continent.
