Light emitting diode (LED) luminaires have been supplied to provide general area lighting for a new furniture wholesaler in Polokwane, South Africa.

Various BEKA Schréder lighting products were supplied to provide an energy-efficient lighting solution. The FurnitureMart warehouse and showroom were illuminated with ECOBAY luminaires, with cost savings achieved as a result of the product’s high performance, leading to fewer luminaires being used to achieve the required light levels, with 200 lux used in the warehouse and 300 lux in the showroom.

The ECOBAY is said to offer the best solution for lowbay and highbay applications, particularly suited to lighting industrial facilities at optimised light levels. It also offers substantial energy savings, high performance and is able to operate at high ambient temperatures. Available with four typical lumen packages and various light distributions, it is also suitable for indoor lighting applications. In addition, it promises reliable performance, low dust accumulation and no need for relamping and regular maintenance.

The LEDNOVA-MINI LED bulkhead range was installed to provide general outdoor area lighting. It is said to be robust and versatile, offering optimal photometric performance and high reliability to reduce energy consumption and maintenance in all types of lighting applications.

The range is suitable for use in various environments, including outdoor mining areas, oil and gas refineries, food and beverage plants, manufacturing process plants and applications that require robust and well-built luminaires. It has been developed to reduce disability glare and improve the quality of light.

The SERIES 300 LED bulkhead was installed inside the office building, at the staircases. The units feature a modern and simple design, allowing the LED bulkhead to blend into areas by day and to be effective when it is dark. It is seen as an ideal solution to beautify buildings and to provide area lighting for commercial developments, retail areas, shopping malls and public buildings. High-quality materials are used to ensure a high ingress protection and non-discolouring diffuser and the units are designed for easy installation.

BEKA Schréder energy-efficient LED lighting products are locally developed and manufactured and are specifically designed to be suited to local conditions.
