Leopard pounces on new economic assessment
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Minerals explorer Leopard Resources will launch a preliminary economic assessment at its Mission & Gables gold project, in Western Australia.
The project currently has a Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant inferred resource of 1.5-million tonnes, at an average grade of 3.8 g/t for 185 400 oz of contained gold.
An exploration target of between three- and four-million tonnes, at a grade of between 2.5 g/t and 3 g/t has also been set, based on the current and previous results from drilling campaigns.
Leopard Resources told shareholders on Wednesday that the company had now appointed consultants to undertake the revision of the current drilling data and metallurgical testwork, and to review the resource estimate.
This work would likely be completed by the end of the second quarter.
Further infill and reconnaissance drilling would also likely be undertaken, including a proposed diamond drilling programme.
