Latest Developments
The Langer Heinrich mine has achieved the targeted stage-one production of 2,6-million pounds a year of uranium.

The mine produced 650 560 lb of uranium for the quarter ended September 30, which equates to 2,6-million pounds of uranium on an annualised basis. Paladin Energy has already started work on a stage-two expansion to increase production at the mine to 3,7-million pounds of uranium by May next year. The producer is also considering a stage-three expansion to increase output to about six-million pounds of uranium a year by the end of 2010. The timing of this expansion phase is, however, related to the availability of water and electricity.
