KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition  (0.19 MB)

Industry movers and shakers have been eagerly anticipating the return of the KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition, and finally, the wait is over. This Tuesday July 23 marks the first day of the event, which will take place at the Durban Exhibition Centre and will run for four days. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2013 exhibition looks set to be bigger and better than ever. Pre-registration figures currently double the numbers for the last event in 2011, reflecting the exhibition’s growing reputation as one of the most valuable networking and marketing opportunities on the industrial calendar.

The purpose of the KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition is to provide companies and entrepreneurs within the industrial sector with a forum at which to introduce new products and create new business relationships. It is intended to inspire innovation and boost productivity within the province, and the Durban Chamber of Commerce’s support for the event suggests that this is a goal it has already fulfilled. Andrew Layman of the Chamber of Commerce commends the exhibition for enabling industrialists to keep abreast of the technological developments upon which the success of their production models depend. Consequently, the impact of the exhibition on businesses both local and nationwide is considerable.

The value of the KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition is reflected in the calibre of the companies and individuals that choose to exhibit there.  Engen Petroleum, Afrox, ESKOM and ESTEQ are among the hugely successful businesses that will be represented at the event, with others like AC DC Dynamics and Lvsa Valves promising to use the exhibition to showcase brand new products. Others, like Boiler & Industrial Plant (Pty) Ltd, set such store by the event that they have exhibited there faithfully at the biennial event since its inception in 1984. The KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition is the largest of its kind in South Africa and each year it attracts a varied demographic of senior decision makers and buyers, including directors, managers, specifiers, contractors, developers, engineers, regional government personnel, municipalities and planners.

This year, the exhibition is introducing a new concept in the form of free seminars which perhaps explains the huge interest the event is attracting. The seminars, which will be held throughout all four days of the exhibition and are open to all comers, will not require advance booking. The list of speakers is impressive, including representatives from ESTEQ, FESTO, CSIR, Voith, ESKOM, The Jebra Group and Clear Fuel Technologies. Topics will focus on important industrial issues and progressions, ranging from changes in government legislation to introducing new and exciting products which could have a huge impact on business productivity.

Don’t miss out on all that the KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition has to offer; visit the event’s website, www.kznindustrial.co.za and sign up for pre-registration now. Pre-registration is free of charge and enables those who do so to avoid paying entrance fees on the day- meaning that you could take advantage of the seminars, stalls and exhibitions at absolutely no cost. With such prestigious lecturers and exhibitors attending, the fifteenth KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition promises to be an event not to be missed.
