Project Description
The Kwinana plant will process spodumene concentrate from the Greenbushes mine to produce 24 000 t/y of lithium hydroxide, which will be exported primarily for use in the manufacture of lithium batteries.
Jobs to be Created
The project is expected to create 500 construction jobs and more than 115 full-time production jobs when production starts. The plant is also expected to result in a multiplier effect for other service industries and business partners.
