Company Announcement - KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition has announced that it will be launching an industrial indaba in 2017 to run alongside the existing trade show, adding more intellectual stimulation of trade in the KZN region. The KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition is a regional industrial exhibition for professionals looking for new solutions and technology. It is a horizontal trade show that showcases a wide range of industrial products, services and solutions appropriate to the KZN region.  Professionals secure the latest technical information and industrial know-how, enabling them to take their own businesses to the next level.

This year’s show is the second edition of KITE to offer free-to-attend seminar content which adds to the complimentary learning opportunities and influences job creation and business growth.  Excellent speakers are covering topics such as Exceeding Revenue, Productivity And Profitability Targets in a Challenging Economy; Economic Growth, Job Creation and Skills Development; Trade and Investment Opportunities in KZN; Funding for KZN SME’s - Accessing DTI Grant Rebates And Financing Your Capital Investments; Systems Driven Product Development; Skills Development and Training for the Industrial Automation Industry; Robotic Machining; amongst many others.

“The concept of industrial shows is second nature to us,” explains Gary Corin, Managing Director, Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, organisers of KITE. “As a locally registered business, we have been organising industrial trade shows in South Africa since 1968. Our broad portfolio of exhibitions continues to expand. We are growing our brands regionally as well as moving into new geographic areas. Growth of existing trade shows has been attained through the expansion of co-located conferences and content-rich free-to-attend seminars. And now we also have the launch of the industrial indaba in 2017 which will run alongside KITE.” “Through our existing relationships with government, associations and industry partners, we are using KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE) 2015 as a ‘launching pad’ for the industrial indaba and encourage trade visitors to come visit this year’s show as a sneak peak of what they can expect in 2017,” says Corin.

Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery’s portfolio of industrial shows includes Electra Mining Africa, Interbuild Africa, Electra Mining Botswana, CBM-TEC (Copperbelt Mining Trade Expo and Conference), Propak Africa and Propak Cape, in addition to KITE. Says Corin: “These shows are a valuable resource linked to bringing people and business to South Africa, as well as Zambia, Botswana and other regions within South Africa - such as Kwa-Zulu Natal and Cape Town.”Exhibitions remain a powerful medium to source new customers, engage with existing customers, build brand awareness, launch new products and generate sales and sales leads. But, says Corin: “The economy has forced greater scrutiny in how marketing budgets are spent and companies have been more selective in their choice of exhibitions and in their choice of exhibition organisers.”

“Over the past two years, we have seen a continued increase in visitor attendance at our shows. On site sales, plenty of sales leads and brand visibility are cited by exhibitors as being the major advantages and benefits of exhibiting. Our shows are delivering a good return on investment for exhibitors and providing a world-class event for visitors keen to see the latest in products, services, technologies and trends.”

Always striving for excellence, Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery was recently recognised as ‘Best Organiser’ in the annual PMR.africa Leaders and Achievers Awards and received the Diamond Arrow Award. The nominee process is based on the results of the annual National Survey on Event and Exhibitions Organisers. Electra Mining Africa also got the top award for the best trade show 6,000sqm+ and Emmanuel Patty, Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery senior operations manager, received the award for Best Organiser Employee. The company has also been the recipient of several EXSA Awards for Best Organiser Company, Best Organiser Employee and for its top shows.
