Keaton Energy expects H1 earnings increase

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) JSE-listed Keaton Energy on Wednesday announced that its headline earnings a share for the six months ended September 30 was expected to be between 18c and 21c, as opposed to a basic and headline loss a share of 21c and 21.1c respectively during the prior corresponding period.

The coal company said in a trading statement that it expected to publish its results for the six months on or about November 18.

Keaton operated the Vanggatfontein colliery, in Mpumalanga, and the Vaalkrantz anthracite colliery, in KwaZulu-Natal.
