Aim-listed investment company Kazera Global has appointed Gerard Kisbey-Green – a qualified mining engineer with more than 36 years of experience in the mining and related financial industry – as nonexecutive chairperson.

Kisbey-Green has worked on mines in a diversity of commodities and geographies both as an engineer and as a banker.

He has also been CEO of several private and listed mining and exploration companies, in addition to holding numerous nonexecutive board positions.

He has 17 years of resource banking experience, including a period in equity analysis, as well as having served as a corporate financier for major banks in Johannesburg and London, including JPMorgan, Investec and Standard Bank.

In line with his appointment, Kisbey-Green has been granted options over four-million shares at a price of 1p a share.

“I am delighted to welcome [Kisbey-Green] to the board. His extensive background in mining and finance, as well as his physical location in South Africa, will considerably aid us in managing and widening our Southern Africa operations,” Kazera CEO Dennis Edmonds said.
