London-listed Kavango Resources has reported more positive soil sampling results from its South Ganzi base metals project, in the Kalahari Copper Belt, in Botswana.

The company has now completed 150 km of sampling lines over the Acacia and Morula targets.

The Morula target is now estimated to be at least 18 km long, compared with the 12 km previously announced, and between 800 m and 2.4 km wide.

The anomaly remains open along strike in both directions.

The Acacia target is a 4 km by 4 km conductor.

Kavango says it has also identified a third sub-parallel geochemical anomaly just south of the Morula target. This new target, which the company has dubbed Happy, appears to be at least 5 km long and 700 m wide.

The South Ganzi project is held in a joint venture with Power Metal Resources, with Kavango as the operator.

Kavango will now undertake induced polarisation and audio-frequency magnetotellurics surveys to define drill targets.

The company can only finalise drilling plans once its environmental management plan is approved by government.
