Brief History
Mining started at the mine in 2021, and commercial production in January 2022.

Geology/Mineralisation
Homase is located within the Ashanti goldbelt, characterised by Birimian greenstone sequences. Gold mineralisation occurs in sheared and altered metasedimentary rocks, with ore hosted predominantly within quartz veins and disseminated sulphide zones.

Mineralisation extends along a 4.5 km strike length with significant shallow oxide potential.

Reserves
Not disclosed.

Resources
Current resources for the mine have not been disclosed; however, the GoldStone Resources website states that the current orebody at Homase mine hosts a Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant mineral resource of 602 000 oz of gold with an average gold grade of 1.77 g/t, within which 116 000 oz of gold at 2.24 g/t are measured resources as at October 30, 2012.

Type of Mine
Openpit.

Mining Method
Conventional openpit mining.

Major Infrastructure/Equipment
The mine includes a heap-leach processing facility, elution plant and gold room.

Prospects
GoldStone is seeking to optimise production at the Homase mine and to continue to explore the prospects within the AKHM, which includes the former underground Akrokerri Ashanti mine, which produced 75 000 oz gold at 24 g/t recovered grade in the early 1900s.
