Hengst opens its second factory in China.
With the plant in Jinan, the number of Hengst locations has already grown to 20.
Münster/Jinan. Hengst Filtration has more than doubled its sales in China in recent years. Innovative products for the automotive and industrial markets drive this growth.
In the north of China, an assembly plant for fluid management modules was built in less than 10 months to serve Hengst's customers Sinotruk and Weichai locally. Sinotruk is the third largest truck manufacturer in China and Weichai the largest engine manufacturer in the world.
After the opening ceremony of the new location, Hengst CEO Christopher Heine signed a cooperation agreement with Sinotruk, which defines a close strategic development and cooperation.
"We are in Jinan because our customers have a clear vision of clean and efficient engines and our filtration solutions make a significant contribution to this. They help our customers meet stringent local emission standards, improve air quality and reduce environmental impact. We lead the world in Filtration making our planet a purer place", says CEO Christopher Heine.
In order to further accommodate regional growth, the existing site in Kunshan has been expanded by approx. 15,000 sqm of production and storage space since the beginning of the year.
