Project Description
Harmony is accelerating the expansion and roll-out of numerous renewable-energy projects.
The first phase of this journey comprises a 30 MW solar energy plant.
In Phase 2, Harmony will build an additional 137 MW of renewable energy at various longer-life mines, while Phase 3 is at the planning stage and progressing as expected.
Harmony expects Phase 2 to deliver more than R500-million a year in electricity cost savings once it reaches full production in the 2025 financial year.

Latest Developments
Harmony reported in February 2022 that it had received National Energy Regulator of South Africa approvals for all three renewable-energy sites.
Harmony further reported that commercial close for the power purchase agreement for Phase 1 was imminent.
