PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed junior Haranga Resources has reported a 675% increase in the Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource at its Selenge iron-ore project, in Mongolia.

The project was now estimated to host some 254-million tons of iron-ore at an average grade of 17.2% iron, for 44-million tons of contained metal.

Haranga said on Tuesday that further drilling at Selenge would expand the Dund Bulag and Undur Ukhaa resources, and would confirm further iron targets within the project area.

The two deposits lie within 3 km of each other and were associated with large magnetite skarn hills with wide mineralised lodes from surface.

Meanwhile, Haranga had also reported that the mining licence application process was under way, based on the updated resource and metallurgical testwork.
