Project Description
The project involves the construction and commissioning of a locked-cycle demonstration-scale graphene production plant, in central Germany, which will produce 100 t/y to 200 t/y, subject to final design. Feedstock will be sourced from Talga’s high-grade Swedish graphite projects. The proposed plant will be the first in the world to commercially demonstrate true direct ore-to-graphene process technology capable of delivering industrial volumes for customer samples and/or sale.

Duration
It is expected that, pending Swedish trial mining approval in the second quarter of 2015, graphite ore from Sweden will be transported directly by rail/road to the demonstration plant for maiden processing in the third quarter of the year.
First output is expected towards the end of 2015.

Sites are being shortlisted and the final location will ensure that state-of-the-art equipment is available for process optimisation, characterisation and product formulation in an area whch is home to many potential end-users of Talga’s graphene products.
