Aim-listed Goldplat is partnering with ASX-listed West Wits Mining as toll treatment partner to initially process about 8 500 t of ore extracted during the West Wits early mine programme at the Qala Shallows area, located on the Kimberly Reef package in the Witwatersrand Basin, in South Africa.

First ore is estimated to be delivered to Goldplat in the first quarter of 2022.

“I am pleased to partner with West Wits on the early mining programme and we are looking forward to finding ways to grow this mutually beneficial relationship,” says Goldplat CEO Werner Klingenberg.

West Wits says in a statement that Goldplat has been engaged to provide it with a dedicated circuit for processing of tonnage from the early mining initiative and handle the delivery of the dore bars to Rand Refinery for refining and, ultimately, the sale of gold.
