On April 22, ferrochrome producer Merafe said attributable ferrochrome production from the Glencore-Merafe Chrome Venture – a joint venture between diversified miner Glencore and Merafe through a pooling and sharing agreement – marginally decreased by about 3.1% year-on-year for the quarter ended March 31, dropping from 103 000 t to 100 000 t.
