TSX-V-listed Giyani Metals Corporation has completed a reverse circulation infill drill programme at the K.Hill Extension deposit, in Botswana, for a total 4 561 m.

The company aims to upgrade the current 3.1-million tonnes of inferred resources into indicated resources.

More drilling is planned along strike to the south of the K.Hill Extension in coming weeks.

K.Hill Extension forms part of the K.Hill manganese oxide project.

Moreover, as the company seeks to develop its specialist technical expertise, it has appointed Jacques du Toit technical services VP. He was formerly consultancy and engineering firm Tetra Tech’s project manager for the K.Hill project.

A feasibility study on the project remains on track for release in the third quarter.

“The K.Hill orebody continues to deliver excellent results. In little more than a year, our exploration successes have upgraded a 1.7-million-tonne inferred resource for the project into 2.1-million tonnes of indicated and 3.1-million tonnes of inferred resources,” says CEO Robin Birchall.

Giyani’s main objective is to become a low-carbon and sustainable producer of high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate for the electric vehicle market.
