Liquid filtration company Filcon Filters signed a distribution agreement last month with Dutch industrial designer and manufacturer of filter elements Jonell EurAsia to market its products in Southern Africa.

Jonell manufacturers has a fully automated production process, which is ISO 9001:2008 certified, at its production facility in Breckenridge, Texas, US, coupled with a large amount of stock in its warehouse in the Netherlands.

The company takes pride in providing the fastest product delivery times in the filtration industry worldwide.

In addition to having a large production capacity, Jonell EurAsia is increasing its stock levels in the European, Asian and Southern African markets, and has invested in custom-designed software that automatically tracks stock levels in real time, ensuring that minimum levels are consistently maintained.

Jonell has built an advanced laboratory and research facility, which enables the company to conduct extensive filter development and evaluation. The company maintains a close association with its material and component suppliers to ensure that it benefits from the latest in filter- media technology, with research and development (R&D) being incorporated into the company’s ongoing product development programme.

As an example of this R&D, Jonell recently started the promotion of a new high-quality oil-adsorption cartridge, especially designed to separate the final particles of oil from water.

To enable the discharge water from an off- shore process back into the sea, the oil con- tent in the water must be under 30 ppm, or 0.003%, which is an exceptionally strict requirement.

The results of the latest tests indicate that OilAdSorb cartridges designed by Jonell exceed the performance of standard-type cartridges that have been used for many years in these offshore applications.

The OilAdSorb cartridges have higher filter efficiencies, a higher adsorption capacity and a longer lifetime than what is required by the industry standard.
