Project description
This integrated mining project in the Faléme region of south-eastern Senegal aims to include the development of the mine, the building of a new port near Dakar, and the development of about 750 km of rail infrastructure to link the mine with the port.
The project will be developed in phases to achieve a yearly production capacity of between 15-million tons and 25-million tons a year at peak operations. Total estimated reserves are about 750-million tons, located in four locations in the Faléme region, and comprising both haematite and magnetite deposits.

The project is expected to entail an investment of about $2,2-billion.
