Engen Xtreme powers up Gas Motorshow International 2026 with memorable brand experiences for motoring enthusiasts
Engen Xtreme proudly participated in the 2026 Gas Motorshow International at Suncoast Durban, from June 13-14, reinforcing its position as a trusted performance lubricant brand while connecting directly with thousands of motoring enthusiasts, customers and aftermarket industry stakeholders.
As one of KwaZulu-Natal's premier automotive lifestyle events, Gas Motorshow International attracted approximately 30,000 visitors over the two-day showcase, providing Engen Xtreme with an ideal platform to engage a highly relevant audience passionate about cars, motorcycles and automotive performance.
Co-hosted within the Super Discount Motor Spares (SDMS) Midas stand, Engen Xtreme activations included interactive product engagements, gaming experiences, racing simulators, competitions, giveaways and expert discussions, creating meaningful touchpoints with visitors throughout the event.
The 2026 edition of the show delivered an action-packed programme that included supercars, custom builds, classic vehicles, drifting exhibitions, stunt performances, gymkhana displays, bike stunt shows and appearances by leading automotive personalities. International actor Sung Kang, known globally for his role in the Fast & Furious franchise, was also among the event's headline attractions.
Speaking about Engen Xtreme's participation, Kishen Suonath, Regional Trade Marketing Specialist at Engen, said: "Gas Motorshow International provides a perfect opportunity for us to connect directly with the people who live and breathe motoring. Engen Xtreme is a brand built around performance, protection and passion for the road, so being present where enthusiasts gather allows us to showcase our products while creating authentic and memorable engagements with customers. The event's scale and highly targeted audience make it an important platform for strengthening brand awareness and loyalty."
Engen has participated in Gas Motorshow International since 2022, steadily growing its presence at the event and strengthening relationships within the automotive aftermarket community.
The brand's continued involvement reflects its commitment to supporting South Africa's vibrant motoring culture and creating opportunities for consumers to experience the Engen Xtreme brand firsthand.
Melissa Graham, Lubricants Marketing Manager at Engen, highlighted the strategic importance of the event: "Gas Motorshow International has become a standout fixture on the South African motoring calendar and remains the only event of its kind in KwaZulu-Natal. It attracts local, regional and international visitors who share a passion for automotive excellence, making it the perfect environment for Engen Xtreme. Our objective is to engage a captive audience that is genuinely interested in vehicle performance and maintenance, while reinforcing our message that motoring is at the heart of everything we do."
While Gas Motorshow International showcases a range of automotive brands and industry participants, Engen Xtreme remains Engen's flagship lubricant brand for the aftermarket sector, making it a natural fit for the event's enthusiast motoring audience.
Through its participation, Engen Xtreme continued to demonstrate its commitment to delivering high-performance lubrication solutions while building meaningful connections with the motorists, enthusiasts and industry professionals who drive South Africa's automotive community forward.
