Company Announcement - The annual Engen Coach the Coach will once again be taking place this year at the Engen Refinery in Durban. Engen’s commitment to youth development sees the fourth edition of the seminar will take place on 27 September where 40 coaches from the Durban South Local Football Association will be upskilled by professional coaches in the industry.
The amateur football coaches will be taken through the programme by Kwanele Kopo who has earned his stripes when he was Assistant Coach to Supersport United’s former Head Coach Cavin Johnson and is now the Technical Director at Supersport United. Speaking alongside “Kopo” will be Jabu Mahlangu, formerly known as Jabu Pule, one of South Africa’s most influential, skilled and most decorated football players of this time. He will be speaking to the coaches about Life Skills and how to best prepare their aspiring footballers for the professional football world.
This year’s instalment of this fantastic development programme will enhance the current coaches’ ability to lead and teach their footballers in the best possible way going forward. This can be transcended into club level training and preparations for prestigious tournaments such as the annual Engen Knockout Challenge.
All coaches will be furnished with a presentation from the speakers as well as an autographed copy of Ricardo Katza biography “Faith, Family, Football” courtesy of Engen.
