With minor supply chain interruptions and delays successfully resolved, enCore is set to start production at the South Texas Rosita in-situ recovery uranium central processing plant (CPP) in November.

The Rosita CPP is designed to process uranium feed from multiple satellite operations in the South Texas area and is one of 11 licensed uranium processing plants in the US.

The plant has a capacity to produce 800 000 lb/y of uranium oxide (U3O8).

Meanwhile, enCore’s second CPP,  Alta Mesa also in Texas, remains on track to start production in the first quarter of next year.

Alta Mesa has a total operating capacity of 1.5-million pounds a year of U3O8. The operation, which enCore bought from Energy Fuels earlier this year, produced nearly five-million pounds a year of U3O8 between 2005 and 2013, when production was curtailed as a result of low uranium prices at the time.
