Valve manufacturer Dynamic Fluid Control (DFC) is has announced the launch of the Vent-O-Mat slurry air release valve (SAV), designed to set new standards in performance and technology for the mining industry.

The SAV PN100 is designed to endure pressures up to 100 bar, positioning it as a reliable choice for demanding mining environments.

DFC emphasises that the SAV’s single chamber design, featuring cylindrical high- density polyethylene floats provides smoother operation and mitigates common issues associated with traditional steel ball floats, such as component jamming.

The SAV’s design significantly improves performance compared with other recently launched valves, providing a robust and reliable solution for mining operations, states DFC.

The SAV includes sophisticated air release and anti-shock technology that enhances efficiency of pumping operations by effectively expelling air from the pipeline. This feature not only boosts operational efficiency, but also protects pipelines from vacuum conditions and potential implosion, thereby extending system longevity. The valve’s design eliminates clogging issues, owing to the absence of nozzles or small orifices, which are typically prone to blockages.

In terms of maintenance, the Vent-O-Mat SAV is designed for durability and ease of access. The removable top cover flange allows easy access to internal components, making maintenance straightforward when required, while the SAV’s robust construction minimises the need for frequent upkeep.

The low-maintenance design contributes to reduced downtime and operational costs, offering a high-performance solution for the mining sector.
