Company Announcement - Damco, one of the world’s leading providers of supply chain management and freight forwarding services, launched their new website www.damco.com. The mobile responsive website is a key element in Damco’s broader online engagement strategy. The platform makes it easier than ever to interact with the company online, request quotations, get answers to various questions, get in touch with industry experts or quickly locate one of Damco’s 300 worldwide offices.

Sharing supply chain expertise
Answering their customers’ call for in-depth supply chain expertise, the website contains a comprehensive variety of logistics know-how. There are dozens of downloadable case studies, e-guides and authoritative white papers, a series of expert-written blogs, and a growing collection of educational webinars. Visitors who want to be kept informed about additions to Damco’s online supply chain library can choose to subscribe to their eNewsletter.

Trade Lane Selector
A prominent innovation on the new website is an industry-first Trade Lane Selector. This tool allows customers to browse through Damco’s portfolio of all-inclusive, 400+ featured trade lane services and to instantly request quotes online for preferred shipments.

Built around customers
“We involved our customers intensively in the development of our digital marketing strategy and as an outcome of that journey now launch a new platform that serves as a key element in our online engagement strategy”, says Eric Herman, Damco’s Chief Commercial Officer. “Customers increasingly prefer digital forms of engagement, whether they are looking for a trusted partner for a shipment or just to catch up on the latest industry trends. We want to be there to support them in their supply chain challenges, offline as well as online.”

Driving online engagement
By launching this new interaction- and knowledge platform, Damco is again taking a leading role for the supply chain industry in the digital age, after successful previous launches of the industry-tailored news portals retaillogistics.guru, chemicallogistics.guru and technologylogistics.guru, their Logistics Blog and the Damco webinars. The rapidly growing number of users of these portals and the blog, and the popularity of the Damco-webinars show that the company’s in-depth logistics expertise shared via digital and social platforms is appreciated by an increasing number of logistics professionals.
